Since retiring to Harvey Bay I’ve been able to pursue my hobby with Fishing. Well, some probably call it more of an obession than a Hobby…Anyway, I’ve got a new fishing mate – BUNDY – Who also lives in the Latitude25 Community. He’ll be coming with us. The Place is chockers with like-minded people… JUST LIKE YOU!
Yeah It’s been easy as to make new mates Here, plenty of people to share fishing stories with. The wife’s a bit tired of hearing about my fish tales. You fish much?
I gotta say, the waters around ‘ere in Hervey Bay are top notch for it. Head out deep for some Coral Trout, Emperor and Snapper. Or stay closer in for some Sweetlip, Parrotfish and Pearl Perch. It never gets old when Bundy and I are out on the water. It ‘s heaven, mate.
Sometimes we take out our own boat, other days we charter a more serious fishing boat to get out to the best kept secret fishing spots ‘round the place.
And if you’re like me, some days ya just wanna take it easy, ya know? So stick around the shoreline, plenty of great beach fishing to be had! Let me know if you’re keen, early mornings are best.
Oh and having K’gari on the doorstep is another advantage! It’s apparently world heritage-listed. I can see why, lovely spot. Biggest sand island on earth, apparently. Bundy and I sometimes cruise around the coastline (125km all the way round) and manage to find a new place to set up every time!
